Your senses are in for another treat with this 2016 version of Arlesienne.
Have you heard that L’Occitane launched a new version of last year’s release of their Arlesienne fragrance?  Being such a fan of this mainly rose dominated bouquet, I wondered how this incantation would measure up.

The Arlesienne Eau de Toilette that I received opens with an energetic start of bergamot citrus against spicier saffron, which gives a sheerer, crisp freshness to those initial notes that soon are challenged by the intriguing, green notes of galbanum and the almond-like notes of hawthorn.

As Arlesienne warms further in the heart, the more its true floral-based self emerges with the graceful arrival of its star, namely rose, flaunting those petals like an elegant cape worn over a gown of honeyed and spicy notes of violet leaves and powdery, mysterious alluding notes of iris. Dressed in classic, feminine beauty, Arlesienne is romantic with a mysterious allure that you can’t help deny.
The base has a sensuality that is softly inviting by how magnetic it is with white musk, sandalwood and amber notes that give it such smoothness in its approach.

I fell in love with the original Arlesienne, which was brighter floral. Yet, I also am drawn to the new Arlesienne, which has a unique beauty of its own.  With its slightly crisper notes against sweet floral and velvety ones, you can’t help fall in love a second time.

If you are looking for a new fragrance or searching for beautiful fragrance gifts this holiday shopping season, I suggest visiting your local L’Occitane boutique or their website for the Arlesienne Eau de Toilette ($68) for 2.5 oz. You will be so happy that you stopped!
